PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an object to be cooled with a safety apparatus of a refrigerating machine when there is no failure, and eliminate a useless operation while protecting the constituting devices when there is a failure. SOLUTION: A safety apparatus is divided into first safety devices 49C, 49F1, 49F2, 51C which operate in the case where there is a good possibility of failures of parts, and a second safety device 63H1 which operates in the case where there is a little possibility of failures. When the possibility of failures is high, the operation of a refrigerating machine is stopped, and when the possibility of failures is low, an automatic return (restarting) is repeated a given number of times.
