PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To interrupt gas supply instantaneously upon occurrence of gas leakage when gas is used by a consumer. SOLUTION: A current velocity detecting means 11 detects current velocity of a gas supply channel, a current velocity operating means 12 converts a signal from the current velocity detecting means 11 into a current velocity value, and a flow rate operating means 13 operates a flow rate from the current velocity. When gas leakage is detected by a gas leakage detecting means 9, an interruption deciding means 14 makes a decision whether gas is leaked. Furthermore, a decision is made whether use of gas is stopped or not based on a signal from the flow rate operating means 13 and if an apparatus is used at the time of gas leakage, the gas supply channel is interrupted by driving an interrupting means 4.
