PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp socket with low contact resistance in a conductive route ranging from contacts to terminal fittings, which is in a simple structure and at a low cost. SOLUTION: A lamp socket includes a socket body 1, an operation body 2 protruded from the front side of the mainbody and movably arranged in the direction of the thickness of the body 1, a pair of contacts 4 stored in the operation body, a pair of terminal fittings 5 of a self locking type stored in the body 1 and a pair of conductive coil springs 6 stored in the body 1 over the contacts 4 and the terminal fittings 5. Each of the coil springs 6 is formed with a coil portion 27 for biasing from the front side of the body 1 to the direction of protruding the operation body and an extension portion 28 linearly extending from the rear end of the coil portion 27 to the terminal fitting 5. The front ends of the coil portions 27 are connected directly to the contacts 4 and the extension portions 28 are connected directly to the terminal fittings 5 to reduce the number of part items ranging from the contacts 4 to the terminal fittings 5.
