PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To directly transmit the information of whether or not the sensitivity error of a scale is within an allowable value to a user in an electronic force balance with a built-in weight. SOLUTION: The allowable value of the sensitivity error of an electronic force balance is preliminarily stored in a memory 13 by an allowable value setting part 12. A CPU 1 operates a built-in weight driving mechanism 9 by a motor 4 to be operated according to a signal from a sensitivity check commanding part 10 by a signal from a timer 16, sensor 11, or key switch 2 so that a built-in weight 5 can be loaded on a load detecting mechanism 6, and that the mass of the built-in weight 5 can be measured. Thus, the sensitivity error of the electronic force balance can be calculated from the measured value and the actually measured value of the built-in weight 5 stored in the memory 13. When the sensitivity error is an allowable value or more, alarm is issued through an alarm operating part 14, or digits whose precision can not be guaranteed in the measured value are deleted from the measured result display of a display part 8.
