PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To gather data in a short time by the scintillation camera of a positron tomographic device and to greatly improve the detection sensitivity. SOLUTION: This camera is equipped with a calculating circuit 14 which assumes that radiation is generated is generated on one or more planes positioned between two detector parts 2a and 2b among detector parts and finds the intersections of the line connecting the positions where the radiation is made incident on the two detector parts 2a and 2b and the one or more planes to calculate the generation position of the radiation. Consequently, the detector parts 2a and 2b need not be rotated around a body 1 to be detected and data can be gathered in a short time. Further, radiation (obliquely incident radiation) other than the radiation which is made incident vertically on the radiation incidence surface of each detection part can be used for imaging, so the detection sensitivity can be improved greatly as compared with a case wherein only the vertically incident radiation is used.
