Cotyloidal implant for hip joint prosthesis has recesses in insert to receive fixing screw heads

The hip replacement implant has a cup (1) with an opening (7) formed at its base and having a thickness of between two and our millimetres. An insert (2) has cut outs (10) on its external face to be placed opposite the holes (8) in the cup to receive fixing screws (20). The depth of the cut outs is sufficient to allow them to receive the heads of the screws.
