METHOD FOR COMPENSATING A PEL ADDRESS AND COUNTER FOR COMPENSATING A BOX IN CASE OF COMPENSATING A HALF-PEL IN A FRAME MEMORY

PURPOSE: A method for compensating a pel address in case of compensating a half-pel in a frame memory and an address counter for compensating a box are provided to read a macro block predicted by a motion compensation from a frame memory by compensating a pel address according to a motion vector direction in case that a row address and a column address are generated. CONSTITUTION: The first counter(73) receives bx, and performs a counting from the bx to 7. The second counter(74) receives bx', and performs a counting from 0 to the bx'. The first multiplexer(72) connected to the second counter(74) selectively outputs the bx or bx passed through an adder(71) according to a control signal related to a half-pel. The second multiplexer(75) selects an output of the first counter(73) or the second counter(74), and outputs the final address of 3 bits.
