PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium transfer device having quietness] and strong for a sound skip due to external vibration. SOLUTION: A transfer roller 6 is arranged upward a chassis 5 so as to orthogonally intersect with the recording medium transfer direction X. The transfer roller 6 is provided with a structure that a shaft is press injected/fixed to a roller part formed by flexible material, and projection parts 13, 14 opposite to both ends of the roller part are formed on the chassis 5. Further, gaps permitting deformation by the abutment of the projection parts 13, 14 are formed on both ends of the roller part. When a disk is carried in, the transfer roller 6 is separated from the projection parts 13, 14, and the roller part of the transfer roller 6 is rotated while being in contact with the disk by receiving drive force of a drive motor and a gear, and the disk is transferred. When the recording medium is not transferred, both ends of the roller part are in pressurized-contact to the projection parts 13, 14, and the transfer roller 6 is fixed to the chassis 5 side.
