PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform accurate magnetic recording at low cost even if it is a camera such that film traveling in winding film is unstable. SOLUTION: Magnetic information is recorded on a magnetic recording area by using the film 10 provided with an image pickup area and the magnetic recording area. Then, a magnetic recording element 22 constituted to move along in a film traveling direction is prepared. The element 22 records the magnetic information while moving with respect to the film 10 fixed at a predetermined position. The pressing plate unit includes the magnetic information recording mechanism, a pressing plate 21 abutting on the surface of the film 10, a guide means 23 movably supporting the element 22, a biasing means 24 biasing and moving the element 22 through the guide means 23, and a setting means setting the element 22 at the predetermined position of the guide means 23.
