PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a photographer to grasp battery remaining capacity in the midst of photographing by making a focus frame indicating the position of a range-finding point function also as a battery remaining capacity indicator. SOLUTION: A center AF frame (focus frame) CF, a left side AF frame LF and a right side AF frame RF observed in finder field FV through an ocular indicate the positions of a center range-finding point, a left side range-finding point and a right side range-finding point, respectively. The respective frames CF, LF and RF function also as the battery remaining capacity indicator displayed by emitting light in accordance with the battery remaining capacity of the camera so as to indicate the battery remaining capacity. For example, when the battery remaining capacity reaches a predetermined warning level, all the AF frames CF, LF and RF are flickered and displayed. The battery remaining capacity is displayed after a release button is half-depressed or every after photographing is performed by one frame.
