PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a danger of causing heating and rupture due to carelessly short-circuiting of both positive/negative electrodes by forming a battery attachable to electronic equipment in an almost rectangular solid shape, and arranging a positive electrode on one surface and a negative electrode on the other surface. SOLUTION: A first battery 9 for charging a battery charger is formed in a rectangular solid shape having six surfaces so as to be connected in series by bundling four pieces of AA type cells. The negative electrode part 21 is formed in a groove shape extending in the total length direction of the first battery 9 on the surface C, the positive electrode part 22 is formed in an almost square shape, and exists in a position slightly deviated to the negative electrode part 21 more than the center on the surface A. When a user carelessly places the surface C of the negative electrode part 21 on a metallic stand, the surface A having the positive electrode part 22 is not brought into contact with the stand. When the battery 9 is erectly placed by turning the surface A having the positive electrode part 22 downward, the surface C having the negative electrode part 21 is not brought into contact with the stand. Since one of the surfaces having the positive/negative electrode parts 22, 21 will never be brought into contact with the stand, a danger of short-circuiting when mutual electrodes approach mutual electric conductors, can be prevented.
