PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle motor, where a stator can be fixed to a fixed shaft without damaging the peripheral face of the fixed shaft which corresponds to an upper bearing and also the electrical continuity between a stator and a fixed shaft can be secured, when a structure in which a pair of bearings are inserted from the tip side of the fixed shaft and that the stator is fixed in the position between the bearings of the fixed shaft. SOLUTION: A lower bearing 3 is inserted from the top end of a fixed shaft 1, which is provided with a recess at one part of the peripheral face opposed to a stators 4 (4a and 4b), and then a stator holder 11 is inserted to abut on the topside of the lower bearing 3. Then, a C-shaped contact clip 21 is inserted into the recess of the fixed shaft 1 from the radial direction of the fixed shaft 1, and then the stator 4 is inserted to pressure-contact with a contact clip 21 from the top end of the fixed shaft 1, whereby the fixed shaft 1 and the stator core 4a are connected electrically with each other, and also it abutts to the topside of the stator holder 11 to be held.
