Damping combustion chamber fan motor suspension for combustion powered tool

A combustion powered hand tool for driving a driver blade to drive a fastener into a work piece generates an upward axial acceleration of the combustion chamber fan motor upon a combustion in the chamber and a subsequent reciprocal axial acceleration of the motor when the piston bottoms out on the bumper. These accelerations cause the motor to oscillate relative to the tool. The motor is provided with a flexible ring suspension mechanism 50, 60, 70 tuned for reducing the axial acceleration of the motor and dampening the oscillation of the motor relative to the tool.
