PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize real reproduction, and to allow free sound making and editor operation by searching an articulation element sequence corresponding to a designated style of rendition. SOLUTION: A desired style of rendition is designated (S21), but this designation is performed by directly inputting a number of a sequence AESEQ or URSEQ or inputting a tone color and attribute information of a desired musical instrument by using a keyboard and a mouse of a computer. Whether or not a sequence coincident with a designated style of rendition exists in the AESEQ or the URSEQ in an articulation database ADB is searched to select a corresponding sequence AESEQ or URSEQ (S22). In this case, when directly inputting a number of the sequence AESEQ or URSEQ, a corresponding one is directly pulled out. When inputting attribute information, the sequence AESEQ and/or URSEQ corresponding to the attribute information is searched. |
