PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve exchange workability of a slide member slidably held on a pedestal. SOLUTION: A disk recording or reproducing device is provided with a holder inserted with a cartridge housing a disk and a kick-out member 5 sliding on a placing plate 33 projected from the holder and ejecting the cartridge from the holder. Long holes 53a and large holes 53b provided on one end part of the long holes 53a are opened continuously on the kick-out member 5, and fitting shafts 34 provided with large size parts 34a, and small size parts 34b placed on the lower side of the large size parts 34a are erected on the placing plate 33. A fit-to hole 35 is opened on a cartridge eject side apart from the fitting shaft 34 on the placing plate 33. In the state that the kick-out member 5 fitted to the fitting shafts 34 is moved in the cartridge ejection direction, a shaft body 7 is fitted to the fit-to hole 35 exposed from the long hole 53a. In the state that the kick-out member 5 is moved in the cartridge insertion direction, the shaft body 7 is in contact with the terminal edge of the large hole 53b. Thus, the movement of the kick-out member 5 is prevented until the large size part 34a of the fitting shaft 34 coincides with the large hole 53b.
