PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process controlling method capable of suppressing the hunting of an output from a process whose output generates periodical hunting in spite of a fixed input. SOLUTION: An observation part 11 observes the period of an output (b) from a process 1. A signal processing part 12 divides a period by prescribed division time, labels process inputs corresponding to the state of the output (b) of the process 1 in each division time to plural levels and binarizes the label string of process inputs of one period as an initial genome to form the initial group of genomes. Then the signal processing part 12 forms a genome of a prescribed generation by genic algorithm based on the initial group of genomes, outputs each genome as a control input (a) for the process 1, stores the integration value of control deviations of the output (b) from the process 1 as an evaluation value, and selects an optimum genome based on the evaluation value.
