PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of a recording disk by moisture absorption by covering at least one end face of the outer or inner circumference of a disk body having laminated layers of recording layers and reflecting layers with a moistureproof member. SOLUTION: The lower part of a substrate 11 and the upper part of a protective layer 14 are provided with donut-like planer moistureproof members 21a, 21b, respectively, corresponding to the planer form of the disk body. The inner circumference end face and outer circumference end face of the disk body are provided with cylindrical moistureproof members 22a, 22b, respectively, so as to seal the disk body with the moistureproof members 21a, 21b, 22a, 22b. When a moistureproof plastic material is used for the moistureproof members, the members are welded or adhered by heating and welding or with a moisture-resistant adhesive to the disk body or to each other. When glass is used as the moistureproof members, a low temp. glass coating material is used for adhesion. |
