<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a tilt amount of a track due to positional deviation of a magnetic tape. SOLUTION: When it shifts to a write period, a count value of a position counter is reset, and while the count value is 3 or below (read period), following processing are performed (S001-S003). When a waveform of a pilot signal is detected, the position counter is counted up, and further, whether the count value is '1' or '3' is discriminated (S004-S006). When the count value is '1' or '3', the pilot signal of the timing of the count value is stored in an operation part. Then, the pilot signals (the top, the rear of the track) answering to the count values '1', '3' are extracted, and required operation processing are performed for respective pilot signals (S007-S009), and when the operation result is a prescribed value or above, the processing corresponding to the positional deviation of the magnetic tape are executed (S010).</p> |
