<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and accurately repair a fault by diagnosing the fault from a remote place through a telephone line. SOLUTION: The system 20 is provided with a movable digital camera 2 for photographing a mechanical operation part 1a in a device 1 arranged on a 1st position A, a portable personal computer 4 for inputting digital video data D from the camera 2 and outputting the data D to a telephone line 7 for general subscribers as transmission data D', a MODEM 5 for modulating the data D' in accordance with a protocol of the line 7, and a host computer 10 for inputting the data D' transmitted through the line 7 from the 1st position A to a remote 2nd position B through a MODEM 9 and displaying the inputted data on a display 11 as the image V of the mechanical operation part 1a. Thus an operator can execute fault diagnosis for the mechanical operation part 1a on the remote 2nd position B while observing the image V of the failed mechanical operation part 1a on the display 11 for the host computer 10.</p> |
