PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the deposition of the dust, and to rapidly carry it to the downstream side. SOLUTION: A dust separator S having a separating means 9 which sprays steel balls 27 against a heat transfer pipe to eliminate the dust 26, is surrounded by a wire net screen 9a to separate the dust 26 from the mixture 25 of the dust and the steel balls, supplied with the mixture 25 from one end 9b, separates the dust 26 by the wire net screen 9a, and discharges the steel balls 27 from the other end 9c, is provided with a fluid carrying means to carry the dust 26 by blowing up air against a lower side of the separating means 9 in a surface-like manner, and also provided with a dust separator hopper 10 to receive and store the dust 26 on a dust outlet 15a side of an air slide type hopper 15.
