PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly measure the load weight of the combination of vehicles in either a tow vehicle or a vehicle to be towed even when the specifications of the load sensors of the tow vehicle and the vehicle to be towed are different. SOLUTION: At the time of measuring the load weight of a combination of vehicles A in a state that a semi-trailer 3 is linked with a tractor 1, manufacturer information is outputted from trailer side units 9A and 9B provided at the semi-trailer 3, and whether or not signals outputted by the trailer side units 9A and 9B are obtained in response to its own company's command or a common command is specified based on the output signal of a load sensor 91 of the semi-trailer 3 in a tractor side unit 7 of the tractor 1 to which the origin of manufacture information is inputted. Afterwards, data transmission to be operated with the trailer side unit 9A or the trailer side unit 9B is operated by the tractor side unit 7 by using the specified command.
