PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multimedia communication system by which the necessary and sufficient multimedia information can be appropriately transmitted from a terminal accommodating device to plural terminal equipments different in function, and to provide a device constituting the system and a medium on which the program for the device is recorded. SOLUTION: When a terminal equipment 1 is connected to a terminal accommodating device 2 or a request from the terminal accommodating device 2 is received, between a function information transmitting means 12 and an information acquiring means 21 of the terminal accommodating device 2, information expressing various functions corresponding to the multimedia information owned by the terminal equipment 1 held in a terminal function display register 11 is transmitted and based on the acquired information and multimedia information to be provided, the terminal accommodating device 2 determines the providing method of the multimedia information by a providing method determining means 22.
