PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with a protection plate for protecting a conventional front glass substrate, to lower costs, and to improve contrast by suppressing multiple reflection. SOLUTION: The thickness D1 of a front glass substrate 1 is set to be not less than 110% of the thickness D2 of a back substrate 2, to heighten mechanical strength of the front glass substrate 1. Thereby, the front glass substrate 1 becomes strong against an impact, to dispense with a conventional expensive protection plate provided outside the front glass substrate for preventing an impact to the front glass substrate. Further, a protection sheet 14 is attached to the other surface of the front glass substrate 1 for preventing the front glass substrate 1 from breaking by an abnormal impact to spatter splinters of glass. And, the protection sheet 14 is provided with at least one of an antireflection function, a lowering function of unnecessary radiation and an infrared cutting function.
