MAGNETIC HEAD ATTACHING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head attaching method capable of improving positioning accuracy and allowing the adhesion of a magnetic head by one process thereby facilitating the attaching work by providing a head supporting plate positioning means and a magnetic head positioning means on the same jig. SOLUTION: In this attaching method, the head supporting plate 12 is positioned by inserting reference poles 11a of the jig 11 through guide pole holes 12a1, 12a2 arranged on four corners of the head supporting plate 12. Also the magnetic head 13 is positioned by fitting it to reference poles 11b for attaching the magnetic head which are formed similarly on the jig 11. The projected amount of the magnetic head 13 from the head supporting plate 12 is set by butting a sliding surface 13c of the head to a receiving part 11c of the jig 11. The relative position between the head supporting plate 12 and the magnetic head 13 based on the jig 11 is decided with high accuracy.
