PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for faithfully presenting the display mode of a diffraction grating recording medium. SOLUTION: To present the display mode of a diffraction grating recording body comprising cells in which >=2 closed areas are filled up with diffraction gratings, this method is characterized by including (a) a step for inputting data wherein the arrangement of the cells is defined, (b) a step for reproducing the color of light diffracted by the diffraction grating recording body under observation conditions set for the every cell and putting together images obtained by reproducing reproduced images of the diffraction grating recording body and (c) a step for outputting the reproduced image.
