PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materialize a spindle motor provided with an impact resistance required for a note personal computer, etc., by optimizing a size of a ball bearing. SOLUTION: As for the spindle motor 1 corresponding to a disk of 2.5 inch, an allowable maximum size in relation to an outside diameter D2 of a disk guide part 76 is that of the ball bearings 5, 6 so that bearing balls 50, 60 are used. Thus, the impact resistance of the ball bearings 5, 6 are high, thereby obtains the impact resistance of 300G or above required for the note personal computer. Further, since a rotary shaft 71 is supported stably by using the ball bearings 5, 6, having a high impact resistance the distance between centers (bearing span) L1 of the ball bearings 5, 6 can be shortened. |
