PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate supporter of a mounter which allows stable mounting of electronic components, even if substrates supplied to a transfer line vary in thickness. SOLUTION: A substrate holder, a movable frame 37 of which is provided with members 41, 42 for supporting a substrate, and which moves aside when a substrate is transferred and, when the substrate reaches a specified mounting position, moves the movable frame 37 below and near the substrate and abuts the members 41, 42 for supporting a substrate against the substrate to hold the substrate. This substrate holder is provided with a frame-elevating mechanism 30, 30b, 30c, 35, 34 for raising and lowering the movable frame 37, a thickness determining section 39c for determining the thickness of a substrate, and a controller 39 for controlling the frame elevation mechanism, so as to set the distance between the substrate and the movable frame to a specified, distance according to the thickness of the substrate detected by the thickness judgment section 39c. |
