PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the accuracy especially of an electrode area and to improve scattering in measuring performance, in a biosensor which uses a liquid sample in a trace amount and by which a specific component in the sample can be measured quickly, with high accuracy and simply. SOLUTION: A conductive carbon paste is applied to or spray-painted, and a metal is sputtered or vapor-deposited or a carbon cloth or a metal foil is bonded on an insulating substrate. Thereby, an electrode film 12 is formed on the insulating substrate 1. A groove 13 is formed on it with a knife or the like, and the film is divided. A spacer plate 7 is arranged so that a measuring electrode 4 and a counter electrode 5 to which a liquid sample is applied as well as a terminal part 2 and a terminal part 3 which are used to apply a voltage across both electrodes are formed on the divided electrode film 12. A reagent layer 9 is carried on the measuring electrode 4 and the counter electrode 5.
