PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save power with a simple configuration and to ensure further safety. SOLUTION: This power supply device is provided with a voltage conversion section 5, the anode of a diode 12 connects with an output terminal 6b of the voltage conversion section 5 and a capacitor 13, whose capacitance is a prescribed capacitance, is connected between a cathode of the diode 12 and ground. Respective power terminals of a display section 14, a reception section 15, and a microcomputer 16 are connected across both electrodes of the capacitor 13. When a turn off is instructed by an external control unit, the voltage conversion section 5 is made inactive, and the capacitor 13 is used to backup the display section 14, the reception section 15 and the microcomputer 16 to set a standby state. Thus, the device copes with an on/off instruction from the external control unit without consuming power of a commercial power supply, power is saved, and safety is ensured.
