<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage or deterioration of a cylinder body so as to prolong the service life of a pipe joint by combining the flexible cylinder body having a spirally winding tendency with connection parts arranged in its both end parts for shortening the pipe joint substantially and for allowing installation below a floor of a building without any application of excessive stress to the cylinder body. SOLUTION: A flexible pipe joint 1 is constructed of a flexible cylinder body 2 with a spirally winding tendency and connection parts 3 arranged in its both end parts. A building foundation 4 is supported by a footing part 6 via base isolation devices 5. A pipe 7 on the building side is passed through a through hole 8 in the foundation 4 and its end part is opened below a floor 9. A pipe 10 on the ground side is arranged in the lateral direction, and an elbow 11 is connected to its end part. In this case, the upper side of the pipe joint 1 is inserted into the pipe 7, while a fastening band 12 is fastened around the outer circumference of the connection part 3. The lower side of the pipe joint 1 is inserted into the elbow 11, while the outer circumference of the connection part 3 is fastened by means of a fastening band 13. In this way, both of the pipes 7, 10 are easily connected together properly by means of the pipe joint 1.</p> |
