QUALITY ESTIMATING DEVICE FOR ABR SERVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance reliability by enabling quality estimation taking into consideration a worst pattern by estimating a loss ratio of cells of a virtual path(VP) from measurement data of a traffic parameter of virtual connection(VC) and the VP when available bit rate(ABR) service is performed in the VP. SOLUTION: The number of VCs stored in a VP:201 and transmitted cell data are acquired from respective VCI parameter storage tables 311, 321 and an average rate between respective VCs is calculated by an average rate calculating part 410. A peak cell rate(PCR) and a minimum cell rate(MCR) of the all VCs stored in the VP:201 are acquired from the table 311, the loss ratio of the cells is calculated for traffic for minimum assured quantity and fluctuated quantity of the respective VCs and the total loss rate of the cells by adding the loss ratio of the traffic for the fluctuated quantity and the minimum assured traffic quantity together is simultaneously calculated by a traffic separating part 420 of a quality estimating device. Evaluation of the loss rate of the cells for the ABR service is enabled and the quality estimation taking into consideration of the MCR is performed.
