PRODUCTION OF ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC POWDER TONER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the process for producing a toner by suppressing the sticking and deposition of the toner in the process as well as to improve the flowability of the toner and to enhance image quality in electrophotographic development. SOLUTION: Toner matrix particles obtained by pulverization is mixed with inorganic fine particles and the resultant mixture is classified to obtain the objective electrophotographic powder toner. The apparent densityρapp(A) (g/cm3) of the toner matrix particles and the apparent densityρapp(B) (g/cm3) of the toner with attached electrically nonconductive inorganic fine particles after classification satisfy the formulaρapp(B)>=1.2×ρapp(A).
