PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute a waveform equalization calculation processing, in a short time for processing with a simple configuration, by using a waveform-shaped signal which is calculated artificially as an after waveform-shaped signal for control value calculation. SOLUTION: A CPU 22 calculates a tap coefficient by using the method of least square error, on the basis of a video signal S31 of an input signal to a transversal filter, an equalized video signal S40 and an ideal waveform of an output signal from the transversal filter. At this time, the equalized video signal S40 is read from an ORAM 34 at an initial calculation, but the equalized video signal S40 is calculated artificially, by using the video signal S31 read from an IRAM 33 from a second time calculation onward to calculate, thereby calculating the tap coefficient. In this way, the equalized video signal S40 which is read data from an ORAM 33 is calculated artificially, thereby calculating the tap coefficient.
