PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sensor coil which is thin but has a higher sensitivity and a larger Q factor by making two or more axes which individual coils have linearly-independent from each other, and performing assembling so as to house all coils inside a volume having a specific cross-sectional area. SOLUTION: A coil assembly 30 has two photoengraved coils 32, and a box- shaped substance is formed by causing long lateral faces to adjoin to each other approximately at 90 deg.. And a wire coil 34 is positioned in a longitudinally- extended part of the box-shaped substance so as not to increase the breadth and depth of the assembly 30. The diameter, length, and number of turns of the wire coil 34 are preferably about 0.8 mm, about 1.4 mm, and about 400 respectively for example. And the inductances of all coils of the assembly 30 are intensified, by putting a ferrite 36 whose periphery is wound by this wire coil 34 in a long and narrow box-shaped substance. And they are connected to a position measuring system from external parts 16 of the end parts of conductive vortexes 12 with wires 26. On this occasion, individual coils are linearly- independent to one another, and assembling is performed so that all coils may be housed in a volume having a cross-sectional area smaller than 1.0 mm2.
