PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone exchange system which enables respective telephone set terminals to re-answer park-held calls even when extension numbers are used by other telephone set terminals. SOLUTION: In addition to the extension number of a telephone set terminal 3, an extension number for re-answering a call parked and held in a switching device 1, i.e., the extension number of another telephone set terminal 3 or a virtual extension number is set; when a flexible button is pressed, the free state of the extension number is checked and when the extension number is free, the park-held call is re-answered, but when not, the part-held call is re- answered with the set extension number of the another telephone set terminal 3 or the virtual extension number.
