PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a lens interchangeable type camera and also make image quality high by constituting an image division unit of a performance correction lens system and a division prism in order from an object side and satisfying a specified conditional expression. SOLUTION: This system is equipped with a principal lens system L1 forming an object image, and an image division image pickup unit U1 dividing the image formed by the lens system L1 without reforming it. The unit U1 is constituted of the performance correction lens system A, a low-pass filter unit LPF and the image division prism P1 in order from the object side. The lens system A satisfies -0.25<ϕh×Ys<0.25 and 0.8<βh<1.2.ϕh is the power of the lens system A, Ys is the maximum height of the image by the unit U1, andβh is the lateral magnification of the lens system A. It is desirable that a positive lens having the strongest power in the lens system A satisfies 0.10<ϕP×Ys<0.60.ϕP is the power of the positive lens.
