PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronous motor capable ensuring switching of staring operation to synchronous operation and attaining high reliability, and downsizing. SOLUTION: A microcomputer 24 controls the switching means of a starting circuit 14 and alternately-switches the current direction of rectified current which passes through an A-coil and a B-coil for starting operation. A switch SW1 for operation switching is switched to a synchronous operation circuit 39 for switching to synchronous operation, when the rotational speed of a permanent magnet rotor 5 detected by an optical sensor 12 has reached around the synchronous speed. |
