PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain reference image data with a small amount of variation and by which exact inspection is performed at a low cost. SOLUTION: Reference image data before RIP development is acquired (a step S1), resolution, color and gradation of the image data are converted into the ones according to characteristics at a reading means of an image (steps S3, S4) and the reference image data is obtained (a step S5). Output inspection is performed by using the obtained reference image data (a step S7). The variation is small since no reference image data is obtained from a printed matter.
