PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data carrier which protects its internal data by constituting the data carrier so that it cannot be disassembled by automatically destroying the internal data once its sealing member is opened to try to disassemble internal components through unauthorized opening of the sealing member. SOLUTION: This data carrier 11, which is heated and jointed by resistance welding is shown and this data carrier 11 is formed in one body by fixing a sealing plate 13 having a coil 12 formed on the reverse disk-like surface and a module 14, which contains an IS to a carrier case 15 so that they cannot be disassembled. The sealing plate 13 has the coil 12 formed integrally on the reverse surface of the disk through etching or printing and also has on the top surface a couple of right and left upper-electrode insertion holes 17 for making a small-diameter upper electrode 16 for resistance welding face from above. This sealing plate 13 is applied to the top-surface opening part of the carrier case 15 for sealing.
