PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a wrong RAID group from being constructed with respect to an array type storage device which switches plural storage media by using changer devices. SOLUTION: Inherent identification numbers are set to storage media, the identification numbers of the storage media which are transferred from storage sheds to driver devices and mounted are compared to check the propriety (propriety of a RAID group) of the combination of plural storage media, and when a fault exists in the propriety, the storage media are returned to the original storage sheds. Further, the identification numbers of the whole storage media of changer devices 311 to 315 are confirmed, the storage media are re-tried to store in a correct storage shed. Thus, wrong data are prevented from being read/written. The wrong combination of storage media is prevented from being repeated.
