PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transformer having a structure, preventing the increase of the size which is to be caused by using an amorphous wound-core, and a wound core for a transformer. SOLUTION: This amorphous wound-core transformer is provided with an amorphous wound-core 1, wherein an amorphous material thin beld is wound in multilayer and a plurality of coils 2 in which the amorphous wound-core 1 is inserted. In this case, the space factor of a core part 1a is made higher than that of a yoke part 1b in the amorphous wound core 1. It is preferable that the space factor of the core part 1a be made 88-96%.
