<p>An optical head (1) which mounts thereon an optical means for converging a laser beam to be applied to an optical recording medium (51) and which is formed by providing therein an objective lens (2) for converging a laser beam (L), a solid immersion lens (3) interposed between the objective lens (2) and the optical recording medium (51), a holding member (4) for integrally holding the lenses (2, 3) and a moving mechanism (5a) for moving the holding member (4) in the optical axis directions of the lenses (2, 3), a surface facing the optical recording medium (51) consisting of a conductive material, whereby it is possible to increase a numerical aperture by the solid immersion lens (3), control with a high accuracy an air gap based on a capacitance formed between the conductive material and the recording medium (51), and further simplify the moving mechanism (5a) for a focusing servo and signal processing.</p> |
