The system is for grinding minerals, particularly cement (4), in a tubular chamber (1). It can be sprayed at a pressure greater than 5 bar and less than 40 bar. The chamber can be divided by a partition (2) into coarse- and fine-grinding sections (1a, 1b), the material being sprayed immediately adjacent to the partition. A variable-delivery pump (8) can be used to deliver the material (4) into the chamber, while the water-soluble grinding aid can be delivered via the chamber casing or end walls, its supply being regulated to match delivery of material into the chamber.
