The invention concerns a method for improving the performance of a photobioreactor with recycling and continuous functioning depending on the species of the micro-organisms of the culture, the thickness d of the reactor chambers (10) and the final culture concentration desired. The method is characterised in that it consists in introducing in the reaction medium (11) transparent or reflecting particles (15) having a density substantially equal to that of the reaction medium, so as to adjust the micro-organism culture absorbance at optimal levels. The invention is mainly applicable for culture of photothropic micro-organisms. |
