<p>A load handling apparatus is disclosed comprising a support frame pivotably mounted on a base portion, the support frame being moveable between a first and second position. At least two linear actuators (221) act between the base portion and the support frame, producing a turning moment therebetween. The turning moment of each linear actuator (221) is zero at different positions between the first and second positions and the sum of the turning moments of the linear actuators (221) is not zero at any position between the first and second positions. This is achieved by having the connections (232 & 233) between the linear actuator (221) and the base portion offset relative to one another.</p> |
