The invention refers to an arrangement in conjunction with a fire extinguishing system, where the arrangement comprises devices for spraying of a fire extinguishing agent into a space being protected, along with a pipe system 1 for conducting the agent from pumping units 2, 3. A first pumping unit 2 comprises at least two parallel and mutually independent water pumps 9, 10 and a second pumping unit 3 in corresponding manner comprises at least two parallel and mutually independent additive pumps 13, 14. According to the notion behind the invention, a pressure medium pump 16 has been arranged in connection with at least one water pump and a common drive unit for an additive pump, by means of which a pressure medium is formed, which is taken along a pressure medium channel 17 to drive at least one additive pump by means of a pressure medium motor 18 in combination with the latter. <IMAGE>
