<p>A device (10) for removing molecular pollutants from exhaust gases has a cylindrical chamber (12) and a rotating probe (50) extending axially through the length of the chamber (12). A spark pin (62) projects from the outer surface of the probe (50), and a train of high voltage electric pulses is applied across a cylindrical contact around the inner wall of the chamber (12) and the spark pin (62). The train of high voltage pulses causes a pattern of sparks to form in the chamber (12) which reduce molecular pollutants to non-polluting compounds.</p> |
