<p> A liquid crystal/cured product composite layer sandwiched between a pair of substrates fitted with transparent electrodes which is obtainable by a method comprising placing a mixture of a liquid crystal with an uncured curable compound represented by the structure: acryloyl group-(OR1)n-O-mesogen structure-O-(R2O)m-acryloyl group, wherein R1 and R2 are each an alkylene group having two to six carbon atoms, and n and m are each 1 to 10, between the pair of substrates, and curing the curable compound.</p> |
