<p>A resistance welding electrode tip, wherein the tip face of an electrode (6) in surface contact with a sheet material to be welded constitutes a non-circular combined area consisting of an approximately circular main electrode face (4A) having a minimum area required to provide a welding nugget necessary for the material to be welded and auxiliary electrode faces (5A) provided in more than one locations continuous from the outside of the main electrode face, and the entire usable length of the above electrode forms a non-circle in section consisting of a cylindrical electrode column (4) continuous from the main electrode face and not less than one reinforcements (5) formed integrally with and along the entire length of the electrode column and continuing from the above auxiliary electrode faces.</p> |
