A support apparatus (1) for a ladder (20) is disclosed. An adjustable frame, having frame members (2, 3) engages the ladder rungs by pairs of laterally spaced hooks (7, 11). The apparatus attaches by opposed hooks (6, 10) to a structure (24) to positionally secure the ladder against the structure.
